Breathing new life into traditional fabrics with elegant, upcycled designs.

My Vision and Future Plans

Right now, I’m selling my creations at a lodge in Shinanomachi, Nagano, a café in Madarao, and through Etsy. Every time I receive warm feedback from customers, I feel even more strongly about the beauty of upcycling and the importance of giving traditional fabrics a new life.

In the future, I want to take my work beyond Japan—traveling to different countries, holding exhibitions, and having my pieces showcased in stores around the world. I’d love for more people, regardless of where they’re from, to experience the elegance of kimono and obi fabrics and to appreciate the Japanese values of cherishing things, craftsmanship, and mindful creation.

At the same time, I also want to share these ideas with more people in Japan. Many beautiful kimonos and obi are tucked away in closets, no longer worn but too precious to throw away. Through my work, I hope to show how these textiles can be transformed into something new while preserving their stories and history.

I believe in blending tradition with innovation—creating something fresh while honoring the past. Through upcycling, I want to connect people with the beauty of handmade craftsmanship and the timeless value of thoughtful, sustainable design. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and to share it with people from all walks of life!
